How to Set Up and Connect to Eduroam Network

Introduction

This guide shows you how to add eduroam to a campus connected device in the case that it gets deleted

Remember to use WPA while on campus. Eduroam is for travelling to other campuses. 

Environment

Instructions

Set up Eduroam

  1. Right click on the windows icon in your toolbar
  2. Select settings

          

  1. Choose Network & internet
  2. Manage known networks

          

  1. Click on “add network”

          

  1. In network name enter “eduroam”
  2. In security type, select “WPA2-Enterprise AES” from the dropdown list
  3. In EAP method, select "Protected EAP” from the dropdown list
  4. In Authentication method, select “Secured Password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)
  5. Click save.

           

 

Connecting Eduroam

  1. Click on the network connection symbol in the toolbar
  2. Select the arrow to the right of your current connection

           

  1. Select eduroam out of the available networks
  2. Click “connect”

           

  1. Sign into the popup by using your school credentials.
