How to set up and connect to eduroam network

This explains how to set up the eduroam network on a computer. While the network does exist, you have to configure how your computer reaches out to the network to be able to connect to it.

Eduroam setup instructions

1. Right click on the windows icon in your toolbar
2. Select settings

          

3. Choose Network & internet
4. Manage known networks

          

5. Click on “add network”

          

6. In network name enter “eduroam”
7. In security type, select “WPA2-Enterprise AES” from the dropdown list
8. In EAP method, select "Protected EAP” from the dropdown list
9. In Authentication method, select “Secured Password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)
10. Click save.

           

 

Eduroam connecting instructions

1. Click on the network connection symbol in the toolbar
2. Select the arrow to the right of your current connection

           

3. Select eduroam out of the available networks
4. Click “connect”

           

5. Sign into the popup by using your school credentials.
