Setting-up Authenticator Using your Phone
Start by downloading the Microsoft Authenticator app to your phone and opening it.
Click on the "+" button at the top of the app and select "Work or school account".
Choose "Work of school account" from the Add account page and click "Sign in" .
Sign in using your campus credentials to connect the app to your account.
Setting-up Authenticator Through the Internet
Go to your preferred browser and go to https://aka.ms/security-info and sign in with your SDSMT account.
Click on "Add sign-in method" and choose Microsoft Authenticator.
You will be directed to download Authenticator app on your mobile device and a QR code will be generated to connect the app to your account.
After installing Microsoft Authenticator, Open the app on your phone and select the blue circle button in the bottom right hand side to open the QR scanner.
Scan the QR code provided on your computer to link your account to the Microsoft Authenticator app.
