How to add Badges/Certificates to a course

Introduction

These instructions show instructors how to add/create Badges and Certificates to D2L Courses

Instructions

Add Award to Course

1. Log into https://d2l.sdbor.edu and open the course shell
2. Choose "Edit Course" in the navigation bar
   
   
    
3. Click on "Awards" in the "Assessment" section of your "Course Administration" page
   
   
    
4. Choose the "Course Awards" tab at the top of the page and then Choose "Add Award to Course" to pick from the list of t available course awards. 
   
   
    
5. Chose the Certificate/Certificates you would like to add and then choose "Add" to associate this certificate with your course.
   
   
   
   *Checking the "Show Only Awards I Created" check box will reduce the list to show your badges. 

Create Course Award

1. Choose "Create" option in the "Course Awards" tab.  You will be directed to the "New Award" page. 
   
   
    
2. Fill out this form with the necessary details and choose "Save" at the bottom of the screen.
   
   
    
3. In this form, you can choose an existing Award Image or upload your own by choosing the "Upload New Icon" on this form.  
   
   
   
   Course Award Image Requirements

• Badges must be a 1:1 (Square) aspect ratio.
• D2L Recommends a minimum of 200x200 pixels
