Over the coming semesters, South Dakota Mines will transition its multi-factor authentication (MFA) platform for faculty and staff from DUO to Microsoft Authenticator.
As part of this transition, all newly onboarded students, faculty, and staff are being enrolled in Microsoft Authenticator as their MFA solution. Existing users will be migrated by department in phases throughout the fall semester, while students currently using DUO will transition during the spring semester.
What to Expect
Before your department is scheduled for migration, you will receive detailed instructions via email from either me or Steven Bauer outlining the steps you will need to complete to ensure a smooth transition.
Our goal is to make this transition as seamless as possible, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation throughout the process. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the ITS Help Desk or reach out to me directly.
