Introduction
This article provides faculty with steps to upload their course syllabus to the Getting Started Widget on D2L.
Environment
An Internet-connected device with a web browser (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari).
Instructions
	- Ensure your syllabus accurately reflects the course schedule and your expectations. This will help keep students on track.
	  
	- Log into D2L and access your course.
	  
	- Locate the “Course Info” section of the course homepage.
	  
	- Click the down arrow, then select Edit this widget.
	
 
	- Click on the Content tab.
	
	  
	- Using your mouse, select/highlight the text “Syllabus”. Next, click the ”play” button (Highlighted Below).
	  
	
	  
	- In the pop-up window, click My Computer.
	
	  
	- Click Choose File. This will open your computer’s file explorer.
	
	  
	- Locate your syllabus (whether it’s in Documents, Downloads, on your Desktop, etc.), select it with your mouse, then click Open.
	
	  
	- Click Upload.
	
	  
	- In the “Link Text” text box, type “Syllabus”, then press Insert.
	
	  
	- At the bottom of the page, click Save and Close.
	
	  
	- Your syllabus is now uploaded into your course shell.
