How to change your @sdsmt.edu password from a personal Device

Introduction

These instructions will allow you to change your @sdsmt.edu email password from a personal device.  

Environment

An Internet-connected device with a web browser (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari)

Instructions

  1. Open a web browser and navigate to https://myaccount.microsoft.com. 
     
  2. Log into myaccount.microsoft.com with your @sdsmt.edu user credentials. 

  3. Choose Change Password from the left pane of the My Account page


     
  4. Enter your new password into the "Change your password" window.
      

    Note: Our security policy requires the new password to be at least 14 characters long, and must include 3 of the following character types
    • Upper Case Letter
    • Lower Case Letter
    • Number
    • Special Character​​​​​​
